Zachary’s work with young adults and teens includes writing classes, presentations, workshops, and literary outreach events delivered at schools, libraries, bookstores, and literary festivals, including his popular Master Class for Young Writers. Zachary’s national outreach to student- and young-adult readers and writers includes teaching playwriting for the Des Moines Public School District Saturday gifted and talented program, workshopping poems with creative writing students at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, serving as a writer-in-the-schools in the Las Cruces, New Mexico, public school district, and leading workshops in place-based writing for the youth department of the Paso Robles Public Library in Paso Robles, California. Most recently, the author has shared his passion for writing with young adult audiences at the Southwest Prairie Literary Festival in Illinois, the Atascadero Public School District library in California, and at the Calhoun County library system in northwest Florida.

Zachary’s latest book for young adults, March of the Suffragettes, is forthcoming later this summer from the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Group (Zest Books) and is available now for pre-order. If you represent a school, library, bookseller, or nonprofit organization and would like to invite Zachary to meet with your students or patrons, please feel free to contact the author at zmjack@noctrl.edu
